Hello Everyone!
(Plus, a shout out to all the FCC youth out there!)
I wanted to take this opportunity to Thank the family of First Christian Church for the warm welcome my family and I have received. Every smile and word of encouragement has served to further confirm God’s calling on our lives. However, I understand that responding to the call of God is not always easy and challenges usually follow. Yet, it is those challenges that brings us to deeper reliance on God’s power and providence. Thus, I am excited to see what God will do with the youth of First Christian Church as we all learn to respond to God, and be the Example He has called us to be (I Tim. 4:12). ~ Ozzie Ortiz
To Parents: As a graduate of Calvary Chapel Bible College and a lover of God’s word, I have encouraged every member of the FCC youth group to bring their own Bible (2 Tim. 2:15). So, I would ask for your support in encouraging your youth to bring their own Bible with them every time we meet. Furthermore, I would like to encourage you to be in fervent prayer for your children . Your support and spiritual affirmation is foremost in their spiritual growth.

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12
"What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can
that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says
to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." James 2:14-17
